2025 plans for my shinobue offerings

Reflecting on 2024, what stood out to me the most was the formation of a shinobue community that developed from my YouTube channel and this newsletter.

I’ve always felt that the shinobue has the ability to touch lives, and hearing the heartfelt stories from those who have experienced its benefits firsthand was incredibly moving. It reminded me of the profound impact shinobue can have on people.

I have received numerous personal stories via email about how shinobue has positively impacted people's lives, in addition to the public comments shared above.

All of this truly inspires me to do even more for this incredible community. Looking ahead to 2025, I’m excited to focus on everyone interested in exploring the shinobue world more deeply.

1. Online Shinobue Courses

This will be a membership-based online course program available through a monthly subscription, making it much more affordable than private lessons. This could be a fantastic way for many of you to learn!

2. Online Community Get-Togethers

Members of the online shinobue course program are invited to participate in regular online community gatherings. These get-togethers provide an opportunity to meet and connect with other members, share experiences, and ask questions about your shinobue journey. It will be a fantastic space to support one another!

3. Teaching You to Become Shinobue Professionals

I want to help you become a shinobue teacher and performer through online courses and certifications. It's important to have more individuals, beyond myself, teaching and performing shinobue in English (and other languages!) to spread this beautiful art form worldwide!

4. More high-quality shinobues

In addition to our beloved Shoji shinobues, I am almost ready to share Wako shinobues as well. There is a shortage of high-quality shinobues, even in Japan, but I am working hard to establish a logistics plan to bring them to our community!

5. More shinobue songbooks

I want to put together more shinobue songbooks to make it super easy for everyone to enjoy sharing beautiful shinobue music!

6. Spotify and other streaming platforms

I want to release more original and cover music on Spotify and other streaming platforms, so you can enjoy shinobue music wherever you are!

7. Performing live

I have been performing live in Colorado frequently, both solo and with taiko groups. In 2025, I plan to collaborate even more with various artists and would love to travel around the country! If you know of any organizations interested in featuring Japanese music, please email me!

As you can see, I have so many ideas swarming around!

But I also realize that creating free content, like videos for this channel and the weekly newsletter, takes a big chunk of my day-to-day life. I know that trying to do everything on my own might lead to burnout.
